His words have special resonance for anyone who has ever encountered management training, personal development or someone who's too big for their boots. He will inspire, motivate, entertain and, most of all, make you laugh.

Deftly weaving all your conference messages and key learnings into his performance. L-Vo incorporates references to your people and all your favourite lingo.

L. Vaughan Spencer can help you make a hilarious corporate message. Think video, podcast, blog, voicemail message, company anthem, site-specific succeedy situation and much more.

Vaughan's Creator, Neil Mullarkey, runs interactive workshops in his own right using the techniques of theatre improvisation to enhance creative, leadership and communications skills - and Neil and Vaughan often work in tandem!

This is how it can work for Neil and Vaughan to appear together at the same conference:

Hill & Knowlton

"At Hill & Knowlton, we had the pleasure of working with Neil Mullarkey as part of the programme we put together for a Fortune 500 client's UK senior leadership conference.

This 'business exchange' event focused on a major point of change in the company's strategy, which required leaders to look at their business with fresh eyes, to challenge their own assumptions, and work on how to accelerate their success in a fast-changing and highly competitive environment.

Effective communication with colleagues and their teams, and innovative thinking, were essential components of the programme, so Neil's contributions focused on these aspects in a two-part approach.

First, he appeared in the role of L. Vaughan Spencer - billed as a 'serious management guru', as the after-dinner speaker at the end of Day 1.

Neil's entertaining and interactive performance surprised and really engaged the audience, with lots of laughter and quite a few winces of self-recognition, as he used the 'corporate speak' language and pomposity of many management books - combining it with music and rap, and involving two or three well-known and liked company leaders from the audience.

Then, on Day 2, Neil re-appeared as himself to run a short and very effective leadership communication workshop.

This enabled Neil to explain some of the approaches he'd used the night before in character, to show why they worked, and then to help the senior managers to understand how they could use some of the 'improvisation' skills in story-telling and working with an audience in their own day-to-day work environment.

This was a tough senior management group of c. 70 people, highly experienced in business and communication - and veterans of many conference entertainments and workshops. Neil worked with H&K and our client ahead of the event, to understand the organisation and the leaders in the audience, and was then able to tailor his sessions to fit with the conference goals.

Neil's unique skills in performance, and in being able to understand and apply improvisation in the business world, generated good humour and fresh insights in his audience that are lasting well beyond just another conference dinner. I have no hesitation in recommending Neil to you."

Sales Interaction

"He has a unique gift of being able to capture an audience's total attention whilst simultaneously being entertaining, thought provoking, irreverent, outrageous, creative and also little bizarre – he does this at the same time as being very very funny."

GlaxoSmithKline

"To make a little sense of this, I would describe Neil's character & message as the antithesis of every other & "also ran" motivational conference speaker you have ever seen or head about, rolled into one in the form of "L-Vo".

Yet it's Neil's comedic genius & insight into the world of corporate angst, that has allowed him to inject the all essential ingredient of subtle humour & comedy value to create superb observation & real perspective for our Blue Chip world & provide us with provoking messages all our business are much in need of. (Fun!)

In short, L-Vo is awesome, & he's so good your team may initially struggle to connect with the usual quotes & cliches we all come to expect at these types of sessions & then realisation eventually dawns & the fun really begins!

L-Vo will challenge your guys in ways they never thought they would be challenged & questioned!"

Unilever

"Neil (as L-Vo) did a fantastic job for us in energising and entertaining the Top 100 Executives in our business with a quick wiited and satirical view on what it takes to be an effective leader.

He was brilliant at quickly incorporating relevant Unilever content into his act and had us all in stitches with his pointed humour.

I would thoroughly recommend using him for any occasion where the objective is to provoke and entertain."

HBOS (Halifax Bank of Scotland)

"We have invited Neil, in the guise of L. Vaughan Spencer, to speak at 4 major conferences we've held in the last 10 months.

On each occasion his act has been extremely well received by different audiences ranging from junior management to executive level colleagues, both male and female.

The act is a hilarious antidote to a day of serious corporate messages and yet, ironically, potentially aligned to some of those messages; e.g. pushing personal performance.

Neil is a highly polished and professional entertainer and as L. Vaughan Spencer he delivers the requisite "wow" factor often missing in after dinner speakers."
